NURSE Corps Scholarship Program
Each year, the NURSE Corps Scholarship Program provides funds to undergraduate and graduate nursing students who can prove financial need. This program is administered by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. If you are found eligible for a NURSE Corps scholarship, the program will pay for some or all of the following college-related expenses.
- Full Tuition
- Other Expenses (Books, Uniforms and Lab Fees)
- Monthly Stipend of $1,302 (As of 2015)
A Nurse I am Scholarship Program
The A Nurse I am Scholarship Program is offered through Cherokee Uniforms for students who want to become LPNs, LVNs, or RNs. This is a competitive scholarship program in which all applicants are required to answer an essay question in no less than 750 words. Cherokee offers up to 10 $2,000 scholarships each year. Other requirements for the A Nurse I am Scholarship Program are as follows:
- Enrollment in an Approved LPN, LVN or RN Program
- U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident
- Submission of Scholarship Application
- Submission of 750-Word Essay
Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarships
The Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship Program is offered to undergraduate and graduate nursing students who are financially in need of help for their education. This is just one of the many scholarship programs administered by the Daughters of the American Revolution. If you are found eligible for a Caroline E. Holt scholarship, you will receive $1,000 for your LPN training.
Greta James Memorial Scholarship Program
The Greta James Memorial Scholarship Program is administered by Scrub Shopper and the American Nurses Association. Applicants who qualify for a Greta James Memorial Scholarship can receive an award of $2,500 to be used for their LPN training. If you would like to apply for this scholarship, you will need to fulfill the following eligibility requirements.
- Enrollment in an Approved Nursing Program
- Submission of Two 250-Word Essays
- Submission of a Scholarship Application
Mary Opal Wolanin Scholarships
If you are a prospective LPN who is planning on specializing in elder care, you may qualify for the Mary Opal Wolanin Scholarship. This program is offered by the National Gerontological Nursing Association, and to be eligible for an award, you must have plans of working in an elder care facility after graduation. Persons who are chosen for these scholarships are awarded $500 that can be used for college-related expenses.
Tylenol Future Care Scholarship Program
Tylenol Future Care Scholarships are offered by the makers of Tylenol and are for students seeking healthcare-related careers. Each year, Tylenol chooses 40 recipients for their scholarship program, which includes awards of up to $10,000. Winners are chosen based on the applicants' academic prowess and level of community involvement.
