LPN students at PTC can complete their training in 11 months.
2. Baptist Health College - Another great LPN school in Little Rock is Baptist Health College of Little Rock (BHCLR). It was established in 1921, when it offered just a handful of health-related programs. Today, the facility offers nine programs in the healthcare field, including one of the best LPN programs in Little Rock. Students who attend BHCLR can complete their LPN training in just two semesters.
3. University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton - The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) is located on University Boulevard in Morrilton, just a short drive from Little Rock. This is a two-year facility that was founded in 1961 under the name of Petit Jean Vocational Technical School. Ranked as one of the fastest-growing two-year colleges in the U.S., UACCM offers a broad range of career programs including a terrific practical nursing program.
4. College of the Ouachitas - Originally known as Ouachita Vocational Technical School, College of the Ouachitas (COTO) has been serving career-bound students since 1972. Although the school began with an enrollment of just under 300 students, it provides training to about 3,500 students each year today.
5. Southeast Arkansas College - Students who do not mind driving a bit for their training may want to consider attending Southeast Arkansas College (SEARK). This facility was established in 1991 and can be found on South Hazel Street in Pine Bluff. Although SEARK offers a broad range of programs, it is best known for its nursing and other allied health courses. In addition to a traditional practical nursing program, SEARK also offers a unique CNA to LPN bridge program.
6. National Park Community College - Situated in lovely Hot Springs on College Drive, another terrific LPN school in the Little Rock area is National Park Community College (NPCC). This school was established in 2003 after the merging of Quapaw Technical Institute and Garland County Community College. Today, NPCC is one of the largest community colleges in Arkansas and offers some of the best nursing programs in the state, including a top-rated LPN program.
