More and more colleges and trade schools today are offering weekend LPN classes that are sure to fit into your busy schedule.
Of course, before you choose to enroll in weekend courses, there are a few things you will want to consider. This includes such things as the benefits of such classes, the typical scheduling of weekend courses, and the availability of the classes and clinics required for your program. Depending on the school you choose, some required LPN classes may not be offered on weekends. In this case, check to see if the school offers the classes online.
If the courses you need are not offered online either, you may have to attend the required classes during the week. Lastly, it is important for you to know that much of your LPN training will consist of clinical training. While some schools offer this type of training on-campus, others provide it in real medical facilities.
When you get ready to begin your LPN clinicals, check with your school to find out where they provide clinical training and whether or not you will be able to attend on weekends. In many cases, you will be able to fulfill your clinical hours on weekends at local hospitals, nursing homes or other long-term care facilities.
